Councillor Larry Ferguson
Cllr. Larry Ferguson, Thamesmead East ward, Shadow Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health
Larry was elected as a Thamesmead East councillor for the first time in 2022 and re-elected on May 7th, 2026.
He has lived in the ward for well over a decade and was actively involved in his community before becoming a councillor.
Larry’s overriding concern is to represent the interests of Thamesmead East residents and is a firm believer in greater equality, social justice and solidarity.
He is part of the Labour Group’s Shadow Cabinet as the Adult Social Care and Health spokesperson, and also sits on the Licensing and Planning committees.
Larry was formerly a reporter for local newspapers and business publications/websites and is a keen sports fan.
